Ford of England came to Lotus to build 1000-------------
special Cortina GT's with a twin cam engine to ----------
compete in Group 2.-------------------------------------------------
The Lotus Cortina sported a completely different-------
 rear suspension, light alloy body panels, and------------
  Lotus Twin-Cam engine.-------------------------------------------
Top speed was 106 mph, and 0-60 in 9.9 seconds.----
So potent was the performance of the Lotus Cortina
 that they dominated the Sedan classes.-------------------

slightly to offset the braking forces found in racing.
This little modification greatly increased the cars-
braking, and was typical of the Lotus attention to
