it costs over $100,000.00, and you don't
even get a V-

I'm sorry to
say this after 35 years of being a Lotus----
enthusiast, but
there are better cars to be had for that-
kind of money.----------------------------------------------------------
Cars like a REAL
( Fiero ) GT- 1 racer, or a Ferarri, or a
Porsche, or a
ZR- 1 Corvette, or any number of other-
cars with TRUE
competition credentials.--------------------

In real- world
America, the performance of the Exige-
would be as pedestrian
as the Lotus designed----------
shopping cart
that it is shown next to, compared to---
the hot Honda's,
Toyota's, and Nissan's that we now
have on our streets.--------------------------------------------------
And those are
4 seat sedans and coupes at less than
a third of the
price.----------------------------------------------------
No wonder they
have to run it in a one- make racing--
series !---------------------------------------------------------------------
Just for the
record, the REAL GT- 1 Racer had a V- 8-
engine with more
than 600 H.P., and the Exige has---
a 179 H.P. 4
cylinder.-----------------------------------------------
Even with the
extra horse- power, the GT- 1 was not-
very successful
in it's class.------------------------------------
At least not
like the GT- 1 Fiero's were in their day.---
